2026 Davis High Concerto Competition Winners, Pianist Eva Wilson and Violinist Kiran Thole.

Eva S. Wilson has studied piano since the age of five and intends to continue her musical education throughout her life. She has completed the MTAC Certificate of Merit music program, finishing all ten levels and participating in its annual conventions and honor programs. She also dedicates her time to volunteering with local music education programs.

Eva is the head coordinator of the monthly Music From Home recital held at Atria Senior Living and serves as president of the DHS Strings and Piano Tutoring programs. She is deeply committed to expanding her own musical education and refining her piano performance. Eva has studied with Diana Privara for most of her musical career and studied under Richard Cionco more recently. Through the tutoring programs at Davis High, she enjoys teaching her own students and sharing her love of music.

Kiran Ming Thole is a sophomore at Davis High School. He started playing violin at the age of nine, being taught by David and Audinga Jacobson. He later studied under Victor Romasevich, who he still studies with to this day. He also studies composition under Davide Verotta for five years. He has won second and third places in the Pacific Musical Society Composition Competition and has had one of his works premiered previously at the Holmes Finale Concert. He was previously concertmaster of the Holmes Advanced Orchestra and is currently concertmaster of the Davis High School Baroque Ensemble. He also is a member of the Davis High School String Tutoring program in which he tutors one student. He has participated in many chamber music ensembles in and outside of the school program. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, practicing, and reading. His favourite composers are Karol Szymanowski, Bela Bartok, J.S. Bach, and Dimitri Shostakovich.
